The Business Analyst will coordinate and execute the release lifecycle across apps and infrastructure: prep change tickets, manage the release calendar, align stakeholders, track KPIs, and support go-live and post-release follow-ups in a regulated environment. You’ll blend process rigor with hands-on coordination, reporting, and crisp communication focused on software changes, change & release management within an IT Change Mgmt automation project. This person will conduct structured change efforts for software & IT changes and manage development of deliverables/changes into test and production environments.
Job Duties:
- Maintain the release calendar, collect deployment/runbook details, identify dependencies, and align with change windows and gates in partnership with all stakeholders.
- Facilitate across infra, app/dev, QA, SRE, and business teams; assess business impact and escalate when needed and verify environment/pre-reqs, data refreshes, and validations with delivery teams ahead of cutover.
- Translate technical details into clear stakeholder updates before, during, and after releases.
- Track and publish release/change metrics (e.g., success rate, % incidents caused by change, etc), analyze trends, and flag risks.
- Ensure changes are executed safely, validated, and fully understood; align to ITSM practices and Regulatory requirements while coordinating checkpoints/approvals, monitor progress, manage comms/bridges, and document outcomes.
- Capture incidents/lessons learned and drive follow-ups into the next cycle during post-release.
- Work with cross functional teams to define and develop metrics, data collection, modeling, and reporting prototypes to establish trends and patterns on infrastructure events within datacenter.
- Coordinate and work with different stakeholders for requirements, testing, and release calendar of necessary components and ensure a synchronous running of day-to-day processes and coordinate and execute the change management documentation.
- Guide the Change Management process to avoid back and forth in change submissions and coordinate escalations with the technical execution team to expedite time response.
- Lead change management activities within a structured process framework in addition to evaluating the change impact and organizational readiness to limit potential risk.
- Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess the decisions and performance related to the change request communicating with the technical and other cross-functional business units within impacted areas.
Education & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- 4+ years’ experience in Release/Change Management, IT Operations, or PMO within complex and highly regulated environments (financial/banking services a plus)
- Previous experience with technical change management workflows / processing (ServiceNow)
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is required
Plus:
- Previous experience with JIRA, MS Planner, SharePoint, and GitHub is preferred
- Prior experience in the banking/financial sector is a plus
- ITIL Foundation Certification is a plus
