Our Mexico office, located in the hub of Monterrey, plays an important role in delivering Oracle Retail implementations, technical expertise, and client support, while working closely with colleagues across Europe, India, and the United States. The Role The Technical Consultant offers specialized technical knowledge of Oracle Retail solutions, along with retail industry expertise, to ensure successful implementations for OLR clients. This role includes hands-on development, integration, and testing, while working closely with clients, project teams, and third-party vendors.

Technical Consultants are essential in maintaining the reliability, performance, and quality of Oracle Retail solutions throughout the project lifecycle.

In this role, you’ll:

- Analyse and define client requirements for data conversions, interfaces, and application enhancements.
- Design, develop, and test application modifications, interfaces, and enhancements.
- Execute data conversion and application testing across project phases.
- Complete interface design and development, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Conduct go-live readiness assessments for client systems, encompassing both online and batch operations.




- Define implementation and integration alternatives and provide recommendations.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer to client personnel and third-party vendors regarding Oracle Retail and OLR applications.
- Build and maintain client system schedules and coordinate project activities.
- Log, report, and resolve application issues as they arise.
- Assist in the handoff to support teams upon project completion.
- Participate in supporting production environments as necessary.
- Ensure adherence to development standards and best practices for Oracle Retail solutions.

Experience & Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience.
- 3+ years of software development and/or systems integration experience, preferably within the retail or Retail IT industry.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Retail solutions.
- Hands-on experience with at least two of the following Oracle Retail applications: RMS, ReIM, and SIM.
- Strong working knowledge of Oracle Retail technical concepts, functional applications, and integration points.
- Previous consulting experience and experience with large-scale package software implementations preferred.
- Experience with at least two of the following technologies: PL/SQL, C/C++, Oracle Pro*C, Java (J2EE/Swing), Oracle Forms, XML, and UNIX shell scripting.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills,



with the ability to independently troubleshoot issues and develop practical solutions.
- Strong personal accountability and ownership, with a proven ability to manage tasks and deliverables through to completion with minimal supervision.
- Proactive and transparent communication skills, with the ability to clearly communicate progress, risks, issues, and blockers in a timely manner.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, efficiency, and follow-through, including appropriate documentation and handoffs.
- Ability to work effectively in a complex, general environment and remain flexible when priorities or circumstances change.
- Professional approach with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Reliable and well-organized, with strong time-management skills and the ability to meet project deadlines and commitments.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when working under pressure.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
