Key Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging Geography and History lessons aligned with the school’s academic program.
- Create meaningful learning experiences that encourage inquiry, analysis, critical thinking, and active student participation.
- Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to address different learning needs.
- Assess student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback.
- Foster a positive, respectful, and student-centered learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and school initiatives.
- Maintain effective communication with students, families, and the academic team.




- Participate actively in the academic and community life of Oakland School.

Candidate Profile

- Bachelor’s degree in History, Geography, Education, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Teaching experience at the secondary/middle school level.
- Strong classroom management and communication skills.
- Commitment to student-centered learning and the holistic development of each student.
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute positively to a professional learning community.
- English proficiency appropriate for teaching the subject in English.
