The
Senior Advanced Software Engineer
plays a critical role in designing, developing, and enhancing advanced software solutions that drive innovation and efficiency across Brady's technology and product portfolio. This role partners closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software products that meet customer needs, improve operational performance, and support long-term business growth.

What you'll be doing
Design, develop, test, and maintain advanced software applications and systems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define software requirements, technical specifications, and system architectures.
Develop scalable, reliable, and high-performance software solutions that meet business and customer needs.
Ensure seamless integration between software, hardware, and other enterprise systems.
Participate in software architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions.
Implement and support modern software development practices, tools, and methodologies.
Identify and drive improvements in software development processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and maintainability.
Perform code reviews and promote software engineering best practices.
Troubleshoot complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical discipline.
Minimum of 6 years of experience in software engineering, software development, or related technical roles.
Strong expertise in software architecture, design patterns, and modern software development methodologies.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, and Python.
Experience working with software development tools, version control systems, and continuous integration/deployment environments.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work effectively in both independent and collaborative team environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
Preferred
Qualifications
Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Experience leading software development projects or technical initiatives.
Experience mentoring junior engineers and supporting team development.
Knowledge of Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices.
Experience with software quality assurance, testing frameworks, and automation practices.
Experience with embedded systems, real-time operating systems, or cloud-based software solutions.
