Operations Manager

Join a team that puts people at the center of everything. At TLNT, we believe that recruitment is more than just filling roles — it’s about connecting humans with humans. We’re a people-first organization partnering with top U.S. companies to help them grow by attracting exceptional talent, and we know that the right content can open the right doors.

About our partner: Join an organization that partners with emerging and growth-stage consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands to strengthen and scale their operational foundations. Working across multiple brands in a fractional support model, the company provides strategic and hands-on operational leadership that drives efficiency, accuracy, and sustainable growth. With a strong focus on execution, systems thinking, and high standards, the team operates as a trusted partner to founders and senior operators navigating the complexities of logistics, inventory, and scaling consumer businesses.

About the role: The Operations Manager will oversee day-to-day operational execution for a portfolio of 2–3 consumer brands, reporting to a Senior Director. This is a hands-on, execution-focused role: you'll independently run your own pieces of the engagement, keep daily operations moving, and serve as a dependable, proactive point of contact for clients. You'll also work closely with the internal order management team — who own day-to-day order processing — and may take on light oversight of that workflow for your brands, without owning it operationally.

This role is idóneo for a CPG operations professional who wants multi-brand exposure, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes genuine pride in being detail-oriented and dependable. You should already bring independent judgment and systems fluency from a prior operations role — you'll be trusted to run your workstreams from day one, not build those skills on the job.

This is an excellent opportunity to grow your career with a leading US-based company—fully remote.

What You'll Do

- Supply Chain & Co-Manufacturing Support

- Support co-manufacturer relationships for your brands — tracking production schedules, following up on timelines, and flagging delays or quality issues

- Track ingredient/packaging lead times and raise supply risk before it becomes a production problem

- Help coordinate onboarding of new co-man or sourcing partners as brands scale

- Logistics & Fulfillment Support

- Coordinate with 3PL and logistics partners on shipment tracking, inventory discrepancies, and fulfillment exceptions

- Monitor order and fulfillment status for your brands, escalating issues that need attention

- Help ensure fulfillment SLAs are being met across DTC and wholesale/retail channels

- Inventory & Distributor Coordination

- Monitor inventory levels across distributors and 3PLs, flagging shortages, overstock, or short-dated risk

- Support day-to-day coordination with distributor and large wholesale customer contacts on PO status, deductions, and compliance requirements

- Help track uninvoiced orders, aging, and fill rates, and flag discrepancies for resolution

- Retail & Compliance Support

- Support retailer and distributor onboarding requirements — documentation, portal setup, and compliance follow-through

- Help ensure products meet retailer/distributor specifications for labeling, packaging, and shelf-readiness

- Client & Cross-Functional Support

- Run your workstreams independently — choosing the right approach without needing step-by-step direction, and diagnosing issues rather than just reporting them

- Anticipate client questions and communicate risks early, with a proposed next step rather than just a flag

- Serve as a responsive, reliable point of contact for day-to-day operational questions on your brands

- Help maintain and update SOPs as client processes evolve, and look for small ways to make your own workflow more efficient

- Track dependencies across your workstreams and escalate resourcing or priority conflicts early

- Support KPI tracking and reporting shared with clients and internal leadership

What You Need

- 3-5 years of experience in CPG operations, supply chain, or a related client-facing role

- Demonstrated fluency using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) as a core part of how you work, not an occasional add-on.

Examples: drafting and refining client communications, building or maintaining KPI trackers, summarizing data across systems, or getting up to speed quickly in an unfamiliar tool or process. We'll ask you to walk us through a real example in the interview.

- Working knowledge of CPG distribution — Ideally, experience with key US distributors and large wholesale customers

- Direct experience owning distributor or large wholesale account relationships, including PO status, deductions, compliance requirements, and aging/fill rate discrepancies, with minimal oversight.

- Strong communication skills —clear, proactive, and comfortable working directly with clients and external partners

- Fluent English - both written and spoken

- Demonstrated ownership mentality — able to run a workstream independently, propose solutions (not just surface problems), and follow through without being managed closely

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail — comfortable juggling multiple brands and shifting priorities

- Sound judgment — knows when to resolve something directly and when to escalate, and does so early rather than late

- Comfortable with data and systems — you'll work across internal tools and platforms and should be quick to learn new ones

- Hands-on experience with demand planning, inventory forecasting, or EDI processes

- Curious and coachable — eager to build deep CPG operations experience and grow into broader scope over time

- Nice to Have

- Prior experience working with a 3PL or wholesale fulfillment operation

- Background in food, beverage, personal care, or pet products specifically

Salary & Perks

- Competitive USD Pay: We hire top talent and compensate accordingly.

- This is a full-time, long-term engagement with room to grow

- The position is immediately available and requires entering into an independent contractor agreement with TLNT.

- 100% remote — work from wherever you do your best thinking

- Monday through Friday, during regular business hours (EST).

- Additional perks.

Ready to apply? We'd love to hear your story. The next step is a short application where you can share more about your background and upload your resume in English. Take your time — we read every response carefully.
