Position Overview:
The Materials Manager oversees the materials organization, including inventory management, material planning, supplier coordination, and warehouse operations. This position ensures efficient material flow that supports manufacturing, new product introductions, and service parts fulfillment. The Materials Manager plays a key role in inventory optimization, supplier performance, logistics coordination, and system improvements, while actively contributing to long-term plant strategy and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required.- 5-8 years of experience in materials management, inventory control,
or supply chain operations.- Demonstrated people leadership experience.- Strong knowledge of manufacturing planning systems (MRP/ERP).- Solid understanding of lean manufacturing and materials flow principles.- Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- APICS certification (CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent.- Experience supporting new product development and launch activities.- Proven experience driving materials management process improvements.- Experience working in multi-site or integral supply chain environments.
