Media Tech Support L25 resource Definition This position has the responsibility of supporting filebased workflows within the Paramount Media Technology division Daily work obligations include responding to support requests collaborating with engineering on resolution validating solutions updating documentation There is an expectation that team members are very selfsufficient when engaged in assignments representing the company by themselves or asking engineering for input always ensuring customer satisfaction through high quality work and outstanding client care Strong experience in a multidisciplined team is critical as is the ability to clearly communicate complex technology solutions Major Responsibilities Interface with internal support team or users on issues raised to Media Technology Collaborate with internal or external teams to identify address potential issues with transcoding autoQC or content delivery Maintain knowledge of cloud compute software and network within environment Maintain internal documentation regarding system information escalation paths create runbook for issues that have had RCA Engage directly with all necessary Paramount teams to address issues with software cloud computing storage and networking that affect Media Technology systems Work to maintain media encoding transcoding platforms to ensure quality performance and reliability Job Skills Must have strong understanding of video audio timed text used in a content supply chain Knowledge of server operating systems such as Linux Windows Server is required Required Skills Excellent customer service and overall communication skills are essential Ability to work in JIRA Slack to monitor and respond to support cases Experience working in a customer service oriented environment processing user requests and collaborating with software development or engineering teams to provide new solutions Experience manipulating audio video and subtitles via API JSON or command line to automate transcodin
