Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and medical coder to join our healthcare team. This role primarily involves physician billing coding, ensuring accurate and compliant documentation of medical procedures and diagnoses. The Coder plays a vital part in the revenue cycle, supporting efficient billing processes and maintaining high standards of coding accuracy. Responsibilities
- Perform physician billing coding by reviewing medical records, documentation, and reports to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
- Ensure all coding complies with current industry standards, regulations, and payer requirements.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing teams to clarify documentation as needed for accurate coding.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations.




- Review and audit coded claims for accuracy before submission to minimize denials or delays.
- Support the billing process by providing precise codes that facilitate timely reimbursement.
- Keep detailed records of coding activities and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Assist in resolving any coding-related issues that may arise during the billing cycle.

Requirements
- Proven experience in physician billing coding or similar healthcare coding roles.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation standards.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and billing software.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure coding accuracy.
- Ability to interpret complex medical documentation and translate it into correct codes.
