About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Hardware Debug & Failure Analysis Engineer (L2/L3) to join a remote team supporting enterprise server infrastructure, data center environments, and high-performance computing platforms for a US-based client.

In this role, you will be responsible for performing root-cause analysis (RCA), remote hardware diagnostic, and low-level system debugging across multi-vendor server platforms, out-of-band management systems (OOB), and Linux-based diagnostic tools.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform low-level hardware debugging, system diagnostics, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on enterprise servers.
- Utilize out-of-band management tools ( iDRAC, iLO, Redfish, IPMI, BMC ) for remote platform isolation and firmware management.
- Extract, analyze, and interpret diagnostic logs using Linux CLI (dmesg, SEL logs, kernel panic dumps, MCE errors).
- Isolate component-level failures including CPU, DIMM, PCIe, storage (NVMe/SSD/SAS), and motherboard components.

- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams and external vendors to drive issue resolution and corrective actions.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in Hardware Validation, Failure Analysis (FA), System Debug, or L2/L3 Break-Fix support for enterprise servers (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Cisco, SuperMicro, or ODM platforms).
- OOB Management: Deep knowledge of iDRAC, iLO, BMC, IPMI, or Redfish interfaces.
- Linux Proficiency: Strong ability to navigate Linux CLI , execute stress/validation scripts, and parse system logs.
- Troubleshooting: Demonstrated expertise in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and isolation of cross-functional hardware/firmware issues.
- Language: Professional working proficiency in English (verbal and written) for direct interaction with US-based stakeholders.
- Bonus Points: Experience with NVIDIA GPU platforms (HGX, DGX), high-speed interconnects (PCIe Gen 4/5, InfiniBand), or liquid-cooling infrastructure.

Compensation & Work Scheme

- Work Location: 100% Remote (Mexico-based).
- Contract Type: Full-time Contractor.
- Rate: $15.00 – $20.00 USD per hour based on experience and technical assessment.
