"Supervise the loading and off-loading of aircraft's in the most efficient and effective way possible; to ensure that safe and efficient operations exist at Fed Ex ramp facilities and supervise customs clearance procedures." Involves management responsibility for a team of people or a specific location(s) within the business. Teams may include contractors and all categories of employees: Operational, Clerical, Mechanical/Electrical, Supervisory, Secretarial, Professional, and Advisory. Management responsibilities include disciplinary action up to and including dismissal. 1. Select, train, motivate, and evaluate a subordinate staff in handling ramp operations such as loading/off-loading, weight, and balance of the aircraft and in complying with related company and local policies, procedures, rules, norms, and practices (labeling, proper loading/off-loading, all documentation completed, and well-organized, weight and balance, marshaling, etc.) 2. Control and effectively utilize manpower through planning, organizing, and scheduling to minimize loss of time while working within the framework of the capital and operating budgets. 3. Ensure Ramp Operations are performed safely, efficiently, and effectively. 4. Ensure aircraft maintenance and security are provided for arrival/departure. 5. Supervise marshaling for arriving/departing flights and proper operations of ground equipment. 6. Ensure proper weight and balance along with loading and offloading procedures are adhered to Ramp Agents. 7. Establish and maintain a cordial professional relationship with local airport officials and keep them abreast of changes in local legislation that may affect the business. Changes need to be communicated to local management and affected employees and Sr. Management. 8. Supervise any flight delays, overflows, cancellations, and re-routes. Communicate with Flight Operations on aircraft and related ramp activities. 9.
Supervise employees (performance evaluation, pay increases, discipline, counseling, etc.) within Corporate Personnel Policies and Procedures. Main responsibilities are those most important or most frequently performed duties. The incumbent will perform other duties as required. Dispatch license is mandatory and Air Ops courses ( valid and current) Education: Two (2) years of college/Equivalent. Fluent in English (600 TOEIC points) Experience: Five (5) years of experience in Ramp operations.
