JIT Materials Manager

Position Overview

As the JIT Manager, you will lead a team responsible for material availability, supplier readiness, and day-to-day execution in support of production and new product launches.

This is a hands-on people leadership role focused on effective Just-in-Time (JIT) planning, timely problem-solving, team development, and strong coordination with internal partners and suppliers.

You will work closely with Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Product Management, and Supply Chain teams to keep priorities aligned and ensure dependable execution.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead, coach, and support a team of planning and supply chain professionals, promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

· Set clear priorities and performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and support the development of team members.

· Manage daily and weekly JIT planning activities to support production requirements and inventory targets.

· Ensure material availability, supplier readiness, and appropriate capacity to support current demand and production schedules.

· Monitor supplier performance and identify risks that may affect production, delivery commitments, or product launches.

· Coordinate timely resolution of material shortages, delivery constraints, and supply disruptions, escalating issues when needed.

· Develop and follow recovery plans when demand, supply, or production priorities change.

· Coordinate cross-functional planning activities for product launches and operational initiatives.

· Track project milestones, material readiness, tooling requirements, long lead-time items, and risk-buy activities.

· Facilitate regular reviews and communicate status, risks, actions, and decisions to key stakeholders.

· Improve JIT processes,



planning routines, systems, and workflows to increase efficiency and visibility.

· Partner with IT and business teams on practical system improvements that support planning and execution.

· Use data and KPIs to monitor performance, identify gaps, and drive corrective actions.

Qualifications

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.

· 5+ years of experience in supply chain, materials planning, manufacturing operations, program management, customer service, or a related discipline.

· 2+ years of experience leading, supervising, or developing a team in a manufacturing environment.

· Working knowledge of JIT planning, material requirements, supplier coordination, and ERP/MRP systems.

· Experience coordinating cross-functional activities and supporting operational improvements.

· Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

· Ability to prioritize, follow through, and work effectively with stakeholders at different levels of the organization.

· Advanced English communication skills, both verbal and written.
