Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Human Resources Manager to oversee the Company’s day-to-day human resources operations. This role is responsible for managing employee records, supporting recruiting and onboarding, administering payroll and benefits processes, maintaining compliance with applicable employment requirements, and serving as a primary resource for employees and managers on HR-related matters. The idóneo candidate is a self-starter with strong written and verbal English and Spanish skills, excellent organizational abilities, strong attention to detail, and hands-on experience managing HR processes for a small or mid-sized company.
Core Responsibilities
Human Resources Administration, Records, and Compliance
· Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and personnel files
· Manage employee onboarding and offboarding processes
· Maintain and update employee policies, procedures, forms, and other HR documentation
· Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment requirements
· Maintain confidentiality of employee and Company information
· Track employee certifications, licenses, required training, and other employment-related requirements
· Assist management with the consistent application of Company policies and procedures
Payroll, Benefits, and Employee Administration
· Ensure accurate and timely processing of employee payroll information
· Assist employees with questions regarding payroll, benefits, time off, and other HR-related matters
· Coordinate benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and termination of coverage
· Maintain accurate records of paid time off (PTO), leave, and other employee benefits
· Manage employee changes, including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and benefits
Recruiting and Onboarding
· Coordinate recruiting activities,
including posting job openings, reviewing applications, scheduling interviews, and communicating with candidates
· Support managers throughout the hiring process and maintain organized candidate records
· Prepare offer letters, employment agreements, onboarding materials, and other new-hire forms
· Coordinate new-hire onboarding and ensure employees complete all required paperwork and training
· Ensure new employees are properly set up in applicable HR, payroll, and other Company systems
Employee Relations and Performance Management
· Serve as a primary point of contact for employees regarding HR policies, procedures, and questions
· Assist managers with employee performance issues, disciplinary matters, and documentation
· Support the employee performance review process and maintain appropriate records
· Help facilitate effective communication between employees and management
· Investigate and document employee complaints or concerns and escalate significant matters
Requirements & Qualifications
- Ability to work U.S. ET hours from 8am - 5pm with 1-hour lunch break (M-F)
- Significant, hands-on experience with Gusto or similar payroll/HR platforms
- Excellent written and verbal English and Spanish communication and interpersonal skills
- Hands-on experience managing human resources processes and employee administration
- Experience with employee onboarding, offboarding, personnel records, and HR administration
- Experience supporting payroll and benefits administration
- Proven ability to work as a self-starter, managing recurring tasks and deadlines independently
- High attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Experience with recruiting, hiring, and developing and maintaining employee policies
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
