Software Engineer

About the position

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design, development, implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of large-scale proprietary software applications for internal use.

The idóneo candidate is a proactive and analytical software developer with experience in Python and web development, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively in English within a professional environment.

Main Responsibilities

- Analyze user needs, system requirements, and business processes to define technical solutions.
- Design, develop, maintain, test, implement, and debug software applications.
- Maintain source code for existing software products and participate in code reviews.
- Develop customized applications for internal company use.
- Identify root causes of software issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Resolve issues through software configuration or code changes.
- Support software installations, upgrades, and updates.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
- Collaborate with users and internal teams to prototype, test, refine, and implement solutions.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies when applicable.

Requirements

Required:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science,



Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 1–3 years of software development experience.
- Python development experience.
- Experience with web development and front-end technologies.
- Experience with Django or similar web frameworks.
- Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows Server environments.
- Experience with HTML/CSS and JavaScript technologies such as jQuery and AJAX.
- English level B1 or higher – indispensable, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English in a professional environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work both independently and as part of a team.
