Our client is an established U.S.-based manufacturing organization with operations in Mexico and a complex North American supply chain supporting demanding customer and production requirements.

We are seeking an accomplished Supply Chain Manager to provide leadership across production planning, master scheduling, materials management, inventory control, logistics and the flow of materials from suppliers through manufacturing and ultimately to distribution centers and customers.

This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership position responsible for ensuring that customer demand, production capacity, material availability, inventory and logistics remain synchronized.

The Supply Chain Manager will develop and manage the site's master production schedule and build plan, oversee MRP performance, optimize inventory, coordinate inbound and outbound logistics and lead the planning organization.

The successful candidate must be equally comfortable developing strategy, analyzing data, leading people and working directly with manufacturing teams to resolve immediate supply chain challenges.

STRATEGIC MANDATE The Supply Chain Manager will establish an integrated supply chain planning discipline connecting:

Customer Demand → Forecasting → SIOP/S&OP; → Master Scheduling → MRP → Materials → Production → Inventory → Distribution → Customer Delivery

This leader will be accountable for creating visibility across the entire process and identifying potential material, capacity, inventory or logistics constraints before they impact production or customers.

Key priorities include:

- Strengthening master production scheduling and production planning.
- Improving MRP accuracy, discipline and ownership.
- Optimizing raw material, WIP and finished-goods inventory.

- Improving supplier-to-plant material flow.
- Managing cross-border logistics supporting Mexico operations.
- Ensuring reliable outbound delivery to distribution centers and customers.
- Reducing excess inventory, waste, expedites and unnecessary freight costs.
- Building a high-performing planning and materials organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Master Production Scheduling & Planning

- Identify schedule discrepancies, constraints and risks and lead cross-functional actions to resolve them.
- Coordinate production schedules with Operations, Procurement, Sales, Sourcing, Engineering and other functions.
- Develop monthly pre-SIOP/S&OP; schedules based on backlog, forecast, capacity and inventory.
- Participate in monthly SIOP/S&OP; meetings and recommend adjustments based on demand, capacity, material availability and inventory levels.
- Support the design and implementation of improved master scheduling processes utilizing SAP.

Materials Planning & MRP

- Lead personnel responsible for MRP and maintain high standards for system accuracy, data integrity and ownership.
- Review SAP/MRP data, inventory positions, demand signals and production requirements to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Identify shortages and potential supply constraints before they impact production.

- Adjust material requirements based on production changes, quality rejections, engineering changes and evolving customer demand.
- Develop planning assumptions for forecasted and emerging opportunities.
- Ensure timely receipt and availability of raw materials and components to production lines.
- Work closely with suppliers, sourcing and procurement to maintain continuity of supply.

Inventory Management

- Establish inventory strategies supporting customer service, production requirements and corporate working-capital objectives.
- Monitor raw materials, work-in-process and finished-goods inventory to optimize availability while minimizing excess and obsolete inventory.
- Review inventory levels and recommend actions to reduce avoidable waste and excess stock.

- Coordinate cycle-counting programs and ensure inventory accuracy within the ERP system.
- Plan, coordinate and execute the annual physical inventory in accordance with established controls and procedures.
- Investigate inventory discrepancies and drive corrective actions.

Logistics & Cross-Border Supply Chain

- Coordinate the flow of raw materials from suppliers through procurement and transportation into the manufacturing operation.

- Establish clear expectations, accountability, performance measures and development plans for direct reports.
- Build a culture of urgency, accuracy, ownership and continuous improvement.
- Develop annual and monthly supply chain objectives and track performance against established goals.
- Create visibility into critical supply chain KPIs and lead corrective actions when performance falls below expectations.
- Develop scalable processes capable of supporting continued business growth.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL LEADERSHIP The Supply Chain Manager will serve as a critical link between Sales, Operations, Manufacturing, Procurement, Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Finance, Warehousing, Shipping and Logistics. This leader must understand how decisions in one area affect the entire supply chain and be willing to challenge assumptions, escalate risks and drive decisions when customer delivery or production performance is at risk.

The successful candidate will be expected to combine strong analytical capabilities with a visible presence on the manufacturing floor.
