This role is responsible for advancing safety, quality, cost, and operational capability by implementing effective control strategies, supporting reliable systems, and developing engineering talent within the plant.Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the Controls Engineering team by setting priorities, assigning objectives, and supporting employee growth and performanceDrive controls and automation projects that improve plant safety, quality, productivity, and cost performanceOversee plant control systems strategy, including standards for PLCs, HMI/SCADA, measurements, and critical process controlsChampion engineering best practices related to system safety, calibration, certification, and measurement system analysisExperiences/Education - Required Bachelor's degree in EngineeringAt least 3 years of controls and/or measurements engineering experience in a manufacturing environment3+ years of direct people management experienceStrong knowledge of PLC systems and programming capabilitiesExperience with automation technologies and process improvement initiativesEnglish proficiencyExperiences/Education - Desired Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)Interpersonal skills – engaging, enabling, openStrong organizational skillsProficiency in statistical analysisThe company built on breakthroughs.
