The Opportunity Ready to make a general impact through international trade and logistics? At Hitachi Energy, we're looking for an Import & Export Specialist to help drive the seamless movement of materials across borders while ensuring compliance with international trade regulations. In this role, you will be a key contributor to our supply chain and manufacturing operations, supporting the efficient import and export of goods under Mexico's IMMEX program. Working closely with customs brokers, freight forwarders, government authorities, and internal teams, you'll help ensure materials arrive on time, documentation is accurate, and regulatory requirements are met. How You'll Make an Impact
- Manage import and export operations in compliance with Mexican customs laws, U.S. trade regulations, and IMMEX program requirements.
- Coordinate with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and government agencies to ensure timely clearance of shipments.
- Prepare, review, and validate customs documentation, including pedimentos and tariff classifications (HTS codes).
- Monitor and maintain Annex 24 and Annex 30 inventory records to support regulatory compliance.
- Collaborate with production, planning, and procurement teams to align material availability with import timelines.
- Support tariff preference programs such as USMCA and ensure required certificates and trade documentation are in place.
