Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- 1. Adhere to purchasing policies and practices to ensure highest quality, appropriate inventory levels, timely delivery, and competitive cost from suppliers.
- 2. Execute strategic sourcing plans to support company objectives.
- 3. Identify risks to SEL's supply chain and report to management; including overall market trends, capacity constraints, commodity risks, and business conditions for manufacturers and suppliers.
- 4. Create and improve supplier partnerships by identifying areas for improvement, escalating issues to management and executing corrective action plans in accordance with World Class Manufacturing principles.
- 5. Demonstrate business professionalism, purchasing fundamentals, time management, data analytics, supply chain management, supplier development, cost reduction strategy development and negotiation techniques.
- 6. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
- 7. Understand. Create. Simplify.
- 8. Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

A.A.



degree in business, operations, or supply chain; or a combination of relevant education and experience Typically, 2 or more years of experience Intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel Familiarity working with MRP/ERP systems Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment Background check results satisfactory to SEL Negative drug test result(s)

Preferred Qualifications

B.A./B.S. degree in business, operations, or supply chain; or a combination of relevant education and experience Understanding of electronics technology, manufacturing methods and total quality process Experience working with MRP/ERP systems
