We’re looking for passionate and community-mindedFirst Nationspeople to join our team inDubbo, NSW (Wiradjuri Country). This is afull-time role(75 hours per fortnight) . You’ll be helping young people feel strong, supported and connected to services in their community.
About the Role
As anAboriginal Youth Wellbeing Workerwith ourheadspace Outreach Program, you’ll play a key role in supporting your mob and helping young people feel strong and connected. Your work will include:
- Encouraging young people to reach out for supportand sharing ways to look after mental health in ways that make sense for your community.
- Providing warm, culturally safe guidanceto help young people (aged 12–25) find the right services and support when they need it.
- Bringing people together through community activitiesthat support physical, emotional, social and spiritual wellbeing.




- This role involvesregular travel to rural and remote communitiesto deliver services and support to young people.

What You’ll Bring
- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander(this is a genuine occupational requirement under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977).
- A qualification or relevant industry experience inMental Health, Primary Health, Community Services
- Strongproblem-solving and decision-making skills, with a sense of integrity and initiative.
- Greatcommunication and people skillsand the ability to manage your time well.
- Confidence workingindependently and as part of a team.
- Confidence usingMicrosoft Officeand generalcomputer skills.
- Avalid Australian Driver’s Licenceand willingness to travel for work
