We create thoughtful, sustainable outdoor spaces and work across landscape design, construction, irrigation, lighting, and ongoing yard care.Our design team works closely with project managers, estimators, and field crews to make sure our designs are not only beautiful, but also practical to build, maintain, and budget.We are looking for aRemote Landscape Designer to support our design team with residential landscape projects from concept development through construction ready documentation.What You'll DoAs a Landscape Designer, you will help transform client goals, site information, and design direction into clear, thoughtful, and buildable landscape plans.You will:Develop residential landscape concepts, layouts, and design plansProduce accurate 2D plans, drawings, and construction documentationCreate planting plans and assist with plant selection appropriate for the Pacific NorthwestTranslate site measurements, photographs, surveys, field notes, and existing conditions into accurate design drawingsRevise designs based on client feedback, budget considerations, and field conditionsCollaborate remotely with project managers, estimators, designers, and construction teams in SeattleCoordinate design details related to hardscaping, grading, drainage, irrigation, lighting, planting, and other landscape elementsHelp ensure designs are practical to construct and aligned with project budgetsMaintain organized project files, drawings, revisions, and design documentationParticipate in virtual project meetings and design reviewsWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for someone who combines strong design judgment with technical accuracy.You should have:Professional experience in landscape design, landscape architecture,



or a closely related fieldExperience designing residential landscapesStrong understanding of landscape plans, construction drawings, and technical documentationExperience with landscape design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Vectorworks, Land F/X, or comparable toolsAbility to interpret site plans, surveys, measurements, photographs, and field documentationUnderstanding of planting design, hardscaping, grading, drainage, and basic landscape construction principlesStrong attention to detail and drawing accuracyAbility to receive feedback and efficiently revise designsStrong organization and communication skillsAbility to collaborate effectively with a team while working remotelyProfessional English communication skillsWhat Would Make You Stand OutExperience with any of the following would be especially valuable:Residential design and build landscapingPacific Northwest planting and landscape designSustainable or ecological landscape designConstruction detailing and documentationLandscape estimating or designing within established project budgetsIrrigation or landscape lighting coordination3D modeling and landscape visualizationWorking remotely with U.S. based design or construction teamsHow We Think About DesignAt Seattle Sustainable Landscapes, good landscape design goes beyond creating an attractive plan.We want designs that respond to the site, meet the client's goals, respect the project budget, and can successfully be translated into the finished landscape.That means our designers collaborate closely with the people estimating and building their work.
