The Role:

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Tax Accounting, to be based in Mexico City,
Mexico. This role will lead NFE’s Mexico tax accounting function, helping to
ensure accurate and timely U.S. GAAP (ASC 740) income tax provision reporting
and strong SOX-compliant internal controls, while partnering closely with NFE’s
tax and accounting teams in Mexico and the U.S.

RESPONSIBILITIES

What You Will Do:

* Lead the quarterly and annual U.S. GAAP income tax provision (ASC 740)
process for NFE’s Mexico operations, including current and deferred tax
calculations, effective tax rate analysis, and valuation allowance
assessments.
* Maintain and strengthen tax-related SOX internal controls and supporting
documentation for the Mexico tax reporting process.




* Partner with the integral tax provision and financial reporting teams in the
U.S. to ensure consistent application of ASC 740 methodology and timely
consolidation of local tax data.
* Assist with the preparation and filing of Mexican statutory financial
statements and tax returns, ensuring alignment between local reporting and
U.S. GAAP tax reporting.
* Serve as the primary technical bridge between Mexican local GAAP and U.S.
GAAP tax reporting, resolving book-to-tax and statutory-to-U.S. GAAP
differences in partnership with MX Controllership.
* Proactively identify and escalate emerging tax positions, risks, and timing
issues to the Tax Director in MX and U.S. Corporate Tax department well ahead
of quarter- and year-end deadlines.
* Coordinate across MX Controllership, MX Tax, and U.S. Corporate Tax/Reporting
on the integrated close and tax calendar, tracking cross-functional
dependencies and deadlines.
