- We are seeking a highly skilled Functional Safety Engineer to ensure the safety and reliability of our autonomous robotic systems for vehicle control.
- The role involves assessing safety risks, defining requirements, and implementing measures throughout the product development lifecycle.
- The Functional Safety Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate safety into the design, development, verification, and validation of our technologies, adhering to industry standards and regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Promote a culture of safety and compliance throughout the organization by fostering an environment where safety is prioritized and integrated into daily operations.
- Develop and implement functional safety concepts and requirements for autonomous vehicle control systems.
- Conduct safety analysis, including Hazard and Risk Assessment (HARA), Systems Theoretic Process Analysis (STPA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA).




- Collaborate with hardware and software engineering teams to ensure safety requirements are integrated into the design and development process.
- Review safety verification and validation activities, including safety testing and simulation.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety standards (e.g., ISO 26262, IEC 61508) and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and maintain safety documentation, including safety plans, safety cases, and safety reports.
- Participate in safety audits and assessments, both internal and external.
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams on functional safety matters.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in functional safety and autonomous vehicle technologies.

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, JOB SKILLS

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, Science, or a related field. Master’s preferred.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Functional Safety Expert (CFSE)
