Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to optimize the Production organization’s assembly methods, processes, and equipment to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs, and safety. Each day, you will ensure appropriate production methods, cycle time, equipment performance, and materials/components in support of production targets. You will also showcase your expertise by defining the working phase sequence of a new production process to achieve the targeted product cost and equipment investment budget. The work model for the role is: #LI-Onsite This role is contributing to the Manufacturing Team in Apodaca NL. You will be mainly accountable for:
- Ensure paint line processes comply with quality, safety, and environmental requirements.
- Monitor production performance, analyze process data, and implement improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
- Develop, update, and maintain work instructions, process sheets, and visual aids for the painting line.
- Collaborate with Production, Maintenance and Quality teams to resolve issues affecting equipment performance, product quality, or throughput.
- Support industrialization and validation of new products or paint formulations within the line.
- Train and coach operators and supervisors to ensure correct process execution and standardization.
Qualifications for the role
- Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or mechatronic engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in painting, metalworking or surface treatment processes).
- Proven experience with OEE, TEE/ETE, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), line balancing, and SMED implementation to drive productivity, efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Skilled in AutoCAD.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma problem-solving tools.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing data analysis tools.
- Good communication skills in English (oral and written).
- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective communication, teamwork, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
