Business Development Associate — Mexico City
Part-time · Contract basis · Based in CDMX
Abracadabra+ is a integral LGBTQ+ experiences platform helping people discover others nearby, join experiences and offer services to the community. We’re approaching 10,000 registered users worldwide, with Mexico and Spain our biggest markets.
We’re looking for a hands-on, socially connected person to help grow Abracadabra+ in Mexico City. Someone who knows the local LGBTQ+ scene, enjoys meeting people and can turn conversations into partnerships, experiences and engaging social content.
What you’ll do
Build relationships with LGBTQ+ community groups, businesses, creators, venues and independent service providers across CDMX.
Recruit local partners—from trainers and guides to event organisers—to offer their services and experiences on Abracadabra+.
Help partners create their profiles and publish their first offers, personally guiding them through the process.
Bring local communities onto the app through collaborations, activities and word of mouth.
Create authentic UGC for our social channels: film short videos, introduce partners, capture local experiences and appear on camera.
Follow up with partners to turn initial interest into participation and repeat activity.
Track your outreach and results, and share practical feedback with our founding team.
Who you are
Based in Mexico City and well connected to its LGBTQ+ community. You already know people,
spaces and groups you could approach.
Proactive, outgoing and comfortable starting conversations in person, on social media and over WhatsApp.
Someone who gets things done: you can pitch an idea, organise the details and follow through.
Comfortable on camera and confident filming and editing simple, engaging videos for TikTok and Instagram.
Organised and able to work independently while staying in touch with a remote team.
Fluent in Spanish, with working English.
Excited about creating social and economic opportunities for the LGBTQ+ community.
This is a junior role. Experience in sales, hospitality, events, partnerships, content creation or community organising is welcome. Initiative, creativity and local relationships matter more than a particular degree or job title.
The setup
Approximately 20 hours per week, with flexibility around outreach and local events.
Contract basis, combining remote work with regular in-person outreach in CDMX.
Monthly contract fee, depending on experience, plus performance-based bonuses.
Agreed local business travel expenses reimbursed.
- Direct collaboration with the founding team and an opportunity to grow with the business.
