Join us as a Manufacturing Engineering Manager

Lead the charge in building and optimizing world-class manufacturing systems while driving operational excellence across production, engineering, and maintenance. This role offers the opportunity to lead talented technical teams, develop robust manufacturing processes, and play a key role in establishing and continuously improving a high-performance manufacturing operation.

You will combine strategic leadership with hands-on execution to ensure manufacturing processes, equipment, facilities, and technical capabilities are ready to meet safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost objectives.

What will you do?

- Lead teams of manufacturing engineers, technicians, and technical professionals responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing, and sustaining manufacturing and maintenance systems.
- Drive manufacturing readiness for new products, processes, equipment, and production lines, ensuring successful implementation from concept through ramp-up and stabilization.
- Lead and support new plant start-up and industrialization activities, including equipment installation, process validation, capacity ramp-up, and production readiness.
- Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that improve productivity, capacity, quality, and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives focused on increasing throughput, reducing downtime, eliminating waste, and improving equipment and process performance.
- Establish and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to maximize equipment availability and reliability.
- Lead structured problem-solving for complex manufacturing, equipment, and process issues using data-driven methodologies.
- Partner closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, Sourcing, Finance, and Engineering to achieve business objectives.
- Define and monitor manufacturing KPIs, including Safety, Quality, Delivery/Production Attainment, OEE, Productivity, Scrap, Downtime, and Cost.
- Identify capacity constraints and develop solutions to support current and future production requirements.
- Lead manufacturing cost-reduction and productivity initiatives while maintaining safety and quality standards.
- Establish standard work, operational discipline, and performance management routines within the manufacturing engineering organization.
- Direct resources, priorities, and tactical execution in alignment with strategic business priorities.
- Develop technical talent through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.
- Support capital planning, equipment selection, automation projects, and manufacturing technology investments.
- Ensure manufacturing processes comply with applicable safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory requirements.

Experience implementing automation and advanced manufacturing technologies to improve safety, quality, capacity, and productivity.

- Advanced: Understanding of preventive/predictive maintenance, equipment reliability, downtime reduction, and maintenance strategies.
- Quality Control &
- Inspection —
- Intermediate: Understanding of quality systems, process capability, defect prevention, and manufacturing controls.
- Lean Methodology —
- Advanced: Practical experience applying Lean tools such as VSM, 5S, Standard Work, SMED, TPM, Kaizen, visual management, and daily management systems.

What qualifications will make you successful?

- Proven leadership experience managing manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, maintenance, or technical teams.
- Strong manufacturing background with demonstrated responsibility for operational performance and measurable business results.
- Experience supporting or leading new plant start-ups, production ramp-ups, industrialization, or major manufacturing transformations.
- Experience in HVAC manufacturing, preferably with chillers, compressors, refrigeration systems, or other complex electromechanical products.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, automation, facilities, and production systems.
- Demonstrated ability to translate business objectives into clear manufacturing strategies and executable action plans.
- Strategic vision combined with strong tactical execution and a hands-on leadership approach.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders from shop-floor technicians to senior leadership.
- Data-driven mindset with strong understanding of manufacturing KPIs and operational performance management.
- Experience managing capital projects, budgets, and manufacturing investments is highly desirable.
- Experience developing technical talent and building high-performing engineering and manufacturing teams.

Requirements

- Able to work onsite in Ramos Arizpe, Coahuila.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- +5 years of experience in manufacturing, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, or related technical operations.
- Previous experience in HVAC manufacturing, preferably chillers or complex refrigeration/electromechanical products.
- Proven experience leading engineers, technicians, and technical teams.
- Experience with new plant start-up, industrialization, production ramp-up, or major manufacturing projects is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience with manufacturing KPIs, productivity improvement, capacity planning, and cost reduction.
- Experience working in a matrix and cross-functional organization.
- Advanced English level,

Preferred Qualifications

- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- APICS/CPIM or other supply chain/manufacturing certification.
- Experience with HVAC, chillers, refrigeration, compressors, or related products.
- Experience with automation, Industry 4.0, MES, manufacturing systems, or advanced production technologies.
- Experience managing capital projects and manufacturing equipment installations.
- Experience working in multinational manufacturing organizations.
