The AQE Engineer will be responsible for defining and implementing advanced quality control methodologies, conducting root cause analysis, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and customer satisfaction.
Professional Experience
5+ years experience in Engineering and Project assignments • It would be a plus experience in Quality and/or Manufacturing Operation (Quality Engineer in Operations or Quality Supervisor)
Tasks Summary & Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the NPI (New Product Introduction) process, according to APQP TE methodology LEANPD.
- Act as quality interface until the product and process release is achieved for targeted customers, identifying customer specific requirements, and assuring conformance and customer satisfaction. Ensure that PRD (product requirements document) is complete and ensure completeness in accordance with project plan. Ensure that key, critical or special characteristics are defined in accordance customer requirements.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in all Design Reviews and Gate Reviews “PAC meetings” and aligns with the project plan.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering in the DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), or any other product risk analysis methodologies, and ensure DFMEA is complete according to project plan. • Collaborate with Product Engineering on NPI projects regarding the activities for the design, verification and/or validation of products to assure the quality requirements are fulfilled. Ensure DVP&R; (Design Verification Plan and Results) is complete and on track per project plan.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Development Engineering by leading and participating in the PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, and/or other risk analysis methodologies such as DFM/DFA (acronym),
to proactively identify potential quality risks and provide recommendations for improvement. Ensure completeness of PFC (Process Flow Chart) and PFMEA in accordance to project plan.
- Develop and implement quality control methods to ensure new product introduction meets quality requirements and to identify, prevent, and mitigate potential quality issues, by: o creating and maintaining necessary Control Plans as requested by customer and / or project plan, such as Prototype, Pre-series and Series control plan. Ensure completeness of the documents as defined; o ensuring control plans are aligned with PFMEA, PFC, list of key/critical/special characteristics and any other customer requirements; o defining safe launch plans for critical projects or as necessary, with respective control requirements and exit criteria.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Development Engineering in releasing the measuring systems listed in control plan by defining the necessary measurement system analysis (MSA), and ensuring that the results are comprehensive and satisfactory, in alignment with the project plan.
Special Qualifications, Knowledge & Skills
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think analytically
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (Six Sigma, Automotive Core Tools APQP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP and other risk analysis standards)
- Strong knowledge of quality management standards as VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, ISO 9001
- Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies is preferred
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills to effectively collaborate with cross functional teams, customers, and suppliers
- Ability to demonstrate strong customer focus and continues improvement attitude
- Ability to work in a matrix environment with multi-cultural teams
- Strong ability to take decisions
