About the role: We are looking for an AI-Native Backend and Agent Systems Engineer to work directly with technical leadership. AI already builds the first 80–90% of new products and features; this role owns the remaining 10–20% — backend architecture, integrations, security, debugging, testing, deployment, and production edge cases — while continuously improving the underlying tooling, infrastructure, and guardrails so that the share of manual work keeps shrinking.

A major part of the job is helping operate dozens of isolated Hermes/Openclaw agents running across Brev infrastructure, building the systems to provision, configure, update, monitor, debug, and safely roll them back across multiple clients.

What You'll Do





- Productionize AI-generated code into secure, reliable, well-tested backend systems
- Design, build, and maintain integrations, APIs, webhooks, and OAuth flows
- Manage Supabase/PostgreSQL databases, authentication, and multi-tenant isolation
- Provision, configure, monitor, and safely roll back Hermes/Openclaw agents across Brev and NVIDIA infrastructure
- Build reusable tooling: automated tests, CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and guardrails
- Debug production issues and rework systems so the same issue needs less human involvement next time
- Support safe, isolated deployments and updates across multiple client environments

What You Need

- Has built and operated an autonomous agent that runs unattended with real tool access
- Has run OpenClaw or Hermes Agent for real . gateway, channels, skills, cron/heartbeat, and security hardening.
- LLM API fluency. Tool calling, structured outputs, context and token management, choosing models by cost. Knows what MCP is and has wired up at least one server or skill.
- Has built a RAG pipeline end to end. Chunking, embeddings, a vector store, and some way to measure retrieval quality. pgvector is adecuado since we are already on Supabase.




- TypeScript/Node plus working Python.
- Postgres via Supabase. Migrations, RLS, RPC functions, and reading a production row to confirm what the app thinks happened.
- OAuth and third-party API integrations. Token refresh, re-consent, webhooks, scopes, rate limits.
- PR discipline against a protected main. Small branches, tests, CI gates, etc.
- Production debugging. Can trace a failure across gateway, connection layer, and database from logs, then write up the root cause. Comfortable with launchd or systemd, cron, and secrets handling.
- Uses AI coding agents daily and reviews their output critically.
- Nice to have :
- Composio, Pipedream, or other integration softwares
- Shopify, Amazon Seller, Google Workspace, or Stripe APIs
- Evals and tracing: Langfuse, Braintrust, OpenTelemetry
- Writing MCP servers or OpenClaw skills
- Prompt injection and least-privilege awareness for agents with write access
