We're growing our freelance talent pool and looking for an Assistant Editor to collaborate with us across different projects on an ongoing basis. We're after someone organized, detail-obsessed, and comfortable being the person who keeps a project's footage; and its editors running smoothly behind the scenes.

What You'll Do

- Organize audiovisual material: sort and label clips, audio, images, projects, and folders so any editor can pick up a project without guesswork
- Import and back up footage: manage memory cards, drives, backups, and storage
- Create and manage proxies to keep editing performance smooth
- Sync audio and video from camera and external mic sources
- Handle basic editing: cuts, transitions, rough assembly, and preliminary cuts
- Select the best takes based on quality, continuity, and content
- Apply basic color correction: exposure, contrast, white balance, and consistency across shots
- Edit and clean up audio: level adjustments, basic noise reduction, and syncing music or sound effects
- Create subtitles: transcription, burned-in captions, and SRT files
- Export final files for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, broadcast, or live presentations
- Work with different formats and codecs resolution, aspect ratio,



frame rate, MP4, MOV, ProRes
- Build simple graphics, titles, lower thirds, logos, and basic animations, often in After Effects
- Keep version control tight: organize project files and deliverables to avoid lost work or confusion

What We're Looking For

- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro.
- Strong organizational instincts you're the person who makes chaos make sense
- Comfort working independently and meeting deadlines across multiple projects at once
- An eye for detail, from color consistency to audio levels to a clean folder structure
- Basic familiarity with After Effects for simple graphics is a plus
- Clear communication with editors and producers you flag problems before they become problems
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency in spoken and written English.
