Position Overview

Everforth Apex Systems Mexico is seeking a Lead Azure Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to drive the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise-scale Azure environments. This role combines deep expertise in Azure networking, cloud security, policy management, and infrastructure automation to support highly scalable and secure cloud solutions.

The idóneo candidate will serve as a technical leader, collaborating with architects, platform teams, and cloud engineers to establish best practices, guide technical decisions, and ensure the successful deployment of cloud infrastructure through automation and governance frameworks. This position requires a strong focus on Azure Policy, networking architecture, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure

- Design and implement enterprise-scale Azure infrastructure solutions.
- Lead cloud infrastructure initiatives with a focus on scalability, availability, and security.
- Provide technical leadership for Azure platform governance and operational best practices.
- Ensure alignment of cloud infrastructure designs with organizational standards and compliance requirements.

Azure Networking & Security
- Design and manage Azure networking solutions, including Virtual Networks, Virtual WAN, network hubs, VPN connectivity, and ExpressRoute.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity strategies.
- Configure and govern network security controls, including Azure Firewall, Network Security Groups (NSGs),



and related security services.
- Troubleshoot complex networking and connectivity issues across Azure environments.

Governance & Policy Management
- Develop, implement, and maintain Azure Policy initiatives to enforce enterprise governance standards.
- Integrate policy controls into automated deployment pipelines.
- Ensure cloud resources remain compliant with security and operational requirements.
- Define and promote governance best practices across cloud engineering teams.

Automation & Infrastructure as Code
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
- Build automation processes for provisioning, configuration management, and governance enforcement.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate cloud automation into CI/CD workflows.
- Continuously improve deployment efficiency and infrastructure reliability.

Collaboration & Technical Leadership
- Act as a subject matter expert for Azure infrastructure, governance, and networking.
- Mentor engineers and support technical decision-making across cloud initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure successful cloud adoption and operational excellence.




- Participate in architecture reviews and cloud strategy discussions.

Required Experience & Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of overall IT infrastructure or cloud engineering experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience working within Microsoft Azure environments.
- Strong expertise in Azure networking architecture and design.
- Deep understanding of:

- Experience implementing and managing:
- ExpressRoute
- VPN Connectivity
- Virtual Networks (VNets)
- Hub-and-Spoke Architectures

- Advanced experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code methodologies.
- Experience integrating infrastructure automation into Azure DevOps (ADO) pipelines.
- Strong understanding of cloud security, compliance, and governance practices.
- Ability to lead technical initiatives and influence architecture decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

- AZ-900: Microsoft Azure Fundamentals certification.
- AZ-104: Microsoft Azure Administrator certification.
- Additional Azure certifications (AZ-305, AZ-500, or similar).
- Experience establishing cloud governance frameworks.
- Experience supporting large-scale enterprise Azure environments.
- Familiarity with advanced cloud operational monitoring and optimization practices.
- Experience mentoring cloud engineers or leading infrastructure teams.
