Our client is looking for a Construction Estimator to review project plans, calculate material and labor costs, get vendor pricing, and prepare bids.
If you have experience with construction estimating, quantity takeoffs, and reading construction drawings, this could be a great fit.
What You’ll Do
- Review construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for materials and labor.
- Calculate project costs and pricing.
- Prepare accurate and competitive bids and estimates.
- Send RFPs to vendors and compare their quotes.
- Ask clients questions through RFIs when project details are unclear.
- Estimate electrical and lighting work.
- Check plans for missing information, cost issues, and scope changes.
- Keep pricing and project files organized and up to date.
- Use STACK, Bluebeam, or similar estimating software.
- Work with vendors, clients, and the team to meet bid deadlines.
- Manage multiple estimates while keeping the numbers accurate.
What You’ll Need
- Previous experience in construction estimating and quantity takeoffs.
- Ability to read and understand construction drawings and plans.
- Experience preparing bids and estimates.
- Experience working with vendor quotes and pricing.
- Basic knowledge of electrical and lighting systems.
- Experience with STACK, Bluebeam, or similar software.
- Good understanding of construction materials, labor, and costs.
- Good English communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organization.
- Able to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects at the same time.
