? URGENT HIRING: Data Center Break-Fix & Hardware Engineer (L2/L3) | 100% Remote (Mexico)
We are looking for a Data Center Hardware Specialist based in Mexico with deep, hands-on experience in component-level troubleshooting, Break-Fix, and GPU isolation on enterprise servers (Dell, HPE, Lenovo, Supermicro).
If you know how to debug server hardware down to the kernel/CLI level and can comfortably hold technical discussions with international teams in English, this role is for you!
? KEY ROLE DETAILS
- Location: 100% Remote (Candidate MUST reside in Mexico ).
- Engagement: Independent Contractor (Full-Time Hours).
- Rate: $15.00 – $20.00 USD / hour (Based on technical evaluation & experience).
?️ RESPONSIBILITIES & TECHNICAL FOCUS
- Component-Level Break-Fix: Physical & remote failure isolation of Motherboards, CPUs (Intel Xeon / AMD EPYC), ECC RAM, PSUs, NVMe/SAS Storage, and PCIe GPU Accelerators (NVIDIA/AMD) .
- Low-Level Hardware Diagnostics:
Triage using Linux CLI tools (dmesg, journalctl, dmidecode, ipmitool, lspci, nvme-cli).
- Out-of-Band (OOB) Management: Remote hardware control via iDRAC, HPE iLO, Lenovo XClarity, IPMI, and Redfish .
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Differentiating between OS/Software bugs and presente physical hardware defects, executing firmware lifecycle updates (BIOS/BMC).
? REQUIREMENTS
- 3+ years of hands-on/remote experience in Data Center hardware maintenance, Field Engineering, or System Validation.
- GPU & PCIe Expertise: Direct experience isolating and replacing GPUs or high-performance PCIe endpoints.
- English Proficiency: Advanced / Fluent (B2+/C1). Able to conduct technical calls smoothly in English.
- Residency: Must be currently living in Mexico .
