DATA SCIENTIST provide and develop secure, scalable, and high‑quality digital solutions (applications, data products, integrations, automations, and cloud platforms) that enable Magotteaux to make data‑driven decisions, automate processes, collaborate, and innovate efficiently across IT and OT domains and infuse AI across solutions—evangelizing safe, value‑driven adoption (e.g., Copilot, ML models, and AI agents) throughout the business.
Responsibilities
- Explore complex operational and business datasets and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Prepare and clean data, engineer features, and build and test statistical and machine learning models in Databricks.
- Independently retrieve, transform, and analyze large datasets from diverse sources using SQL, Python, and related tools.
- Design experiments and evaluate models for statistical validity, business relevance, and appropriate performance measures.
- Deploy, monitor, document, and retrain models using sound MLOps practices; identify and address model drift.
- Partner with domain experts, Data Analysts, and IT colleagues to translate business questions into analytical approaches.
- Communicate findings through clear narratives, presentations, visualizations, and Power BI reports when appropriate.
- Proactively identify opportunities where advanced analytics, optimization, machine learning, or AI can deliver measurable value.
- Create reusable notebooks, code, documentation, and working practices that support knowledge transfer, governance, security, and maintainability.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in quantative field (Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, etc.)
- At least 5 years of experience as Data Scientist and in quantitative analytics or data modeling
- Applied statistics and hypothesis testing; supervised and unsupervised machine learning; feature engineering; model evaluation; data preparation and quality; SQL-based data retrieval; experimental design; data storytelling; responsible and secure use of data and AI.
- Strong hands-on Python and SQL.
- Practical experience with Databricks and common machine learning libraries.
- Ability to prepare data, engineer features, build and evaluate statistical and machine learning models.
- Ability to design experiments and select appropriate model performance measures.
- Ability to deploy, monitor, document, and retrain models using sound MLOps practices.
- Ability to create clear visualizations and reports; Power BI and Excel experience is useful.
- Familiarity with Azure, Git/Azure DevOps, model deployment, monitoring, and MLOps is preferred.

- Ability to collaborate with general teams and travel internationally when required.
- Valid Passport and ability to obtain required visas, included United States of America
- Fluent professional English, written and spoken, is required.
