Job Overview
Asset Transport LLC is hiring an experienced Dispatch Coordinator to join our growing trucking operations team.
We are looking for a motivated, organized, and results-driven individual with experience in U.S. trucking dispatch. The Dispatch Coordinator will be responsible for finding and coordinating freight, communicating with drivers and brokers, negotiating rates, monitoring loads, and helping maximize truck productivity.
This is a work-from-home, performance-based position with no traditional base salary. You will earn 1.5%–2% of successfully dispatched freight revenue and will be paid weekly.
Your earning potential is directly connected to the amount of successful freight you coordinate and the trucks you manage.
Responsibilities
- Find and secure profitable loads using load boards, broker relationships, and shipper contacts.
- Evaluate freight based on rate, mileage, location, equipment, driver HOS, and delivery schedule.
- Negotiate rates with brokers to obtain competitive pricing.
- Dispatch loads and provide drivers with accurate pickup and delivery information.
- Coordinate pickup and delivery appointments.
- Maintain regular communication with drivers, brokers, and customers.
- Monitor loads from pickup through delivery.
- Track truck locations, appointment times, delays, and delivery status.
- Resolve issues involving delays, breakdowns, scheduling conflicts, and other operational challenges.
- Coordinate reloads and backhauls to reduce empty miles and maximize truck utilization.
- Monitor detention, layover, TONU, lumper, and other accessorial charges.
- Review rate confirmations and ensure load information is accurate.
- Collect BOLs, PODs, receipts, and other required paperwork.
- Submit completed load documentation for billing and invoicing.
- Maintain accurate dispatch records in the TMS and other systems.
- Monitor HOS and ELD information when planning loads.
- Follow company policies and applicable FMCSA regulations.
- Maintain professional relationships with drivers, brokers, and shippers.
- Provide management with updates regarding loads, revenue, and operational issues.
Qualifications
- 1–2+ years of U.S. trucking dispatch experience preferred.
- Must reside in the United States.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Strong understanding of U.S. freight markets and major trucking lanes.
- Experience with dry van, reefer, flatbed, or specialized freight.
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and HOS requirements.
- Familiarity with ELD systems.
- Experience with load boards and TMS software.
- Understanding of rate confirmations, BOLs, PODs, billing, and freight documentation.
- Strong broker negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple trucks and loads simultaneously.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Reliable high-speed internet for remote work.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience dispatching 5+ trucks.
- Existing relationships with U.S. freight brokers or shippers.
- Strong knowledge of major U.S. freight lanes.
- Experience negotiating freight rates.
- Knowledge of factoring and invoicing.
- Experience using multiple load boards and TMS platforms.
- Spanish-speaking candidates are a plus.
Compensation & Weekly Pay1.5%–2% Performance-Based Dispatch Percentage No traditional base salary.
Your compensation is based on the freight revenue you successfully dispatch.
Estimated earning opportunity: $450–$1,500+ per week, depending on your load volume, trucks managed, and overall dispatch performance.
The more successful loads you coordinate and the more freight revenue you generate, the greater your earning potential.
Work From Home
This is a 100% remote, work-from-home position.
You can perform your dispatch responsibilities from home while communicating with drivers, brokers, shippers, and management through phone, email, TMS, and other company-approved communication systems.
