Operations
- Manages import/export operations from the receipt of documents through customs clearance, shipment, and completion of the transaction for raw materials, MRO, fixed assets, and finished goods.
- Coordinates import-export activities with customs brokers, carriers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate execution of operations.
- Coordinates international and domestic logistics activities related to import and export operations.
- Tracks and coordinates rectifications, regularizations and transactions pending closure.
- Supports urgent and special import/export requirements according to business needs.
- Maintains complete and up-to-date electronic and physical foreign trade records and files.
- Prepares the Declaration of Value (Manifestación de Valor) for applicable import transactions.
Customs & Foreign Trade Compliance
- Ensures compliance with Customs law, IMMEX decree, Foreign Trade Rules and International Trade Agreements
- Maintains accurate up-to-date compliance with Annex 24 and 30 inventory control systems.
- Performs reconciliation of information between customs declarations, ERP records and supporting documentation.
- Reviews and validates tariff classifications, permits, certificates and other applicable customs requirements.
- Monitors customs deadlines, returns, temporary importation periods and timeframes, and obligations arising from foreign trade operations.
- Collaborates in maintaining compliance with foreign trade certifications and security programs, including OEA and C-TPAT.
- Prepares information and documentation for internal and external audits and reviews by regulatory authorities.
- Monitors changes in customs and foreign trade regulations and evaluates their potential impact on company operations.
- Supports Fixed Asset Control Management, including the tracking and reconciliation of assets subject to foreign trade regulations.

Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, Foreign Trade, Customs, Logistics, or a related field.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Import/Export and Customs operations.
- Knowledge of Mexican Customs Law and Foreign Trade regulations.
- Experience in manufacturing companies and/or IMMEX environments is highly desirable.
- Hands-on experience working with customs brokers, carriers, and internal business functions.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- MS-Office, VUCEM, ERP systems and inventory control systems (Intrade/I-xport)
