As a Facilities Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring the company's competitiveness by maintaining compliance with safety and environmental requirements across all plant facilities, ensuring the availability and reliability of utility systems that support manufacturing equipment, preserving facilities and equipment in optimal operating condition, executing infrastructure projects, and ensuring the operational continuity of critical plant utilities.
This is a full-time, 100% on-site position located at our Guadalupe, NL plant.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience with HVAC systems, compressed air systems, electrical substations, water treatment systems, and maintenance of critical utility equipment in industrial environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Facilities Technician team to achieve departmental objectives while providing support for daily operations.
- Monitor and control fixed utility costs, including electricity, water, and natural gas, as well as variable costs related to maintenance supplies and minor repairs.
- Coordinate the implementation of maintenance strategies for plant utility systems, ensuring manufacturing equipment utility requirements are consistently met.
- Establish, manage, and oversee Equipment Preservation Systems, including Preventive and Corrective Maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental,
and operational standards related to facilities and utility systems.
- Support infrastructure improvement projects and continuous improvement initiatives across the facility.
- Manage services and projects suppliers.
Qualifications and Skills
- English: Advanced level (written and verbal communication).
- Electrical Systems: 115 kV and 13.8 kV substations. Thermography and predictive maintenance techniques. Emergency power generation systems.
- Industrial HVAC Systems: York chillers, AHUs, and industrial air conditioning systems. Cooling towers. Temperature and humidity control systems.
- Compressed Air Systems: Atlas Copco ZT250 and ZT200 compressors. Ingersoll Rand TA 2000 Turbo Compressor. Air dryers and compressed air distribution networks.
- Water Treatment Systems: Wastewater Treatment Plants (WWTP). Environmental and regulatory compliance monitoring. Reverse Osmosis (RO) systems. Deionized Water (DI Water) systems.
- Industrial Utilities: Nitrogen (N₂) systems. Carbon Dioxide (CO₂) systems. Industrial vacuum systems.
