Senior Software Engineer – AI & Agentic Applications

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineer to join our Data & AI organization and help build the next generation of AI-powered and agentic applications, engineering platforms, and developer productivity solutions.

The idóneo candidate is a hands-on software engineer with strong backend development experience and practical experience building Generative AI or agentic applications. You will work across software engineering, AI, cloud-native platforms, and developer experience to create secure, scalable, and production-ready solutions.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable AI-enabled and agentic applications and platform capabilities.
- Apply agentic and AI development patterns to improve software development, testing, debugging, documentation, release, and operational workflows.
- Develop high-quality, production-ready software using Java, Python, or similar backend technologies.
- Build reusable services, frameworks, and engineering capabilities that improve developer productivity.
- Integrate AI capabilities into enterprise applications while maintaining high standards for security, reliability, observability, and maintainability.
- Work closely with engineering, product, data science, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
- Design and develop APIs, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and enterprise integrations.
- Build and deploy cloud-native applications using Kubernetes and AWS/Azure.
- Improve SDLC/PDLC efficiency through automation, CI/CD, automated testing, and AI-assisted development workflows.




- Evaluate emerging AI frameworks, tools, and technologies and identify opportunities for practical implementation.
- Contribute to architecture, engineering standards, best practices, and technical decision-making.
- Troubleshoot complex technical problems and independently drive solutions from concept through production.
- Ensure AI-enabled systems are secure, resilient, observable, governable, and production-ready.
- Collaborate across technical and business stakeholders and communicate solutions effectively.

Required Qualifications
- 7 years of strong software engineering experience building scalable and production-grade applications.
- Strong programming experience with Java, Python, or similar backend languages.
- Hands-on experience building Generative AI, AI-enabled, or agentic applications.
- Strong understanding of agent orchestration, tool usage, prompt/context management, memory patterns, and AI system design.
- Experience taking AI solutions from prototype to production.
- Strong knowledge of APIs, distributed systems, event-driven architectures, data pipelines, and enterprise integration patterns.
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Strong experience with CI/CD, automation, and software engineering productivity tools.




- Experience with modern AI frameworks, SDKs, and tools for developing intelligent applications and agent workflows.
- Experience with React and/or Next.js.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
- Ability to independently drive technical initiatives from concept to delivery.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience using AI coding assistants to improve development productivity and code quality.
- Familiarity with LLM orchestration and agent frameworks.
- Experience with inference APIs, embeddings, RAG, vector databases, and model evaluation.
- Knowledge of AI observability, responsible AI, and AI safety controls.
- Experience with prompt engineering, context management, and AI memory patterns.
- Experience building developer productivity platforms or internal engineering tools.
- Experience with modern frontend technologies such as React or Next.js.
