International Paper is seeking a highly motivated engineering graduate who is eager to launch and develop a career in Information Technology.

As an IT Business Specialist , you will serve as a key liaison between business users and IT teams. You will help identify operational needs, provide application support, troubleshoot technology-related issues, and contribute to system enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

- Collaborate with business users to understand operational needs and technology-related challenges.
- Provide second-level support for business applications and IT solutions.
- Troubleshoot incidents using a structured, evidence-based approach.
- Break down problems into clear, sequential, and verifiable steps.
- Document incidents, findings, actions, decisions, and solutions with appropriate traceability.
- Coordinate issue resolution with internal IT teams, subject-matter experts, and external vendors.
- Maintain clear and timely communication with users throughout the resolution process.
- Participate in system testing, deployments, enhancements, and stabilization activities.
- Develop and maintain procedures, user guides, checklists, and knowledge resources.
- Contribute to projects focused on process improvement, automation, operational efficiency, and user experience.
- Monitor commitments, priorities, risks, dependencies, and agreed deadlines.
- Confirm that implemented solutions effectively address the original business need.

Qualifications

- Completed bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering,



Information Technology, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, Mechatronics, Electronics, or another related engineering discipline.
- Recent graduate or professional with up to two years of relevant experience.
- Internships, university projects, professional placements, and community service experience will be considered.
- Advanced English proficiency, both written and spoken.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Customer-focused mindset and genuine interest in supporting users.
- Strong organisational, prioritisation, and follow-through skills.
- Ability to learn new technologies, processes, and business concepts quickly.
- Willingness to work on-site in Querétaro.

Desirable Technical Exposure Previous academic or professional exposure to any of the following would be advantageous:

- Microsoft 365
- Power BI
- Power Platform
- SQL
- SAP
- Ticketing or IT service management platforms
- Business applications and enterprise systems
