Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer with strong expertise in Java application support , middleware technologies , and enterprise prescription processing platforms . The adecuado candidate will provide Level 2/Level 3 production support for critical pharmacy and healthcare systems within the AMT (Alpha Middle Tier) ecosystem.

This role requires deep technical troubleshooting capabilities across Java-based applications, middleware components, messaging services, workflow systems, and enterprise integrations. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of mission-critical applications supporting prescription intake, routing, imaging, workflow management, and fulfillment processes.

The successful candidate must be able to perform end-to-end transaction tracing, identify application failures, analyze workflow bottlenecks, validate message movement across IBM MQ, and support business-critical pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities

Production Application Support

- Provide L2/L3 support for Java-based enterprise applications in production environments.
- Diagnose and resolve application, middleware, workflow, and integration issues.
- Perform JVM analysis and troubleshooting including memory leaks, thread dumps, heap dumps, and garbage collection review.
- Support WebSphere Application Server environments and application deployments.
- Monitor system health, investigate incidents, and perform root cause analysis.
- Participate in on-call support rotations and critical incident management.

Enterprise Middleware & Messaging Support
- Troubleshoot IBM MQ queues, channels, and message flows.
- Validate message transmission between upstream and downstream systems.
- Investigate message failures, delays, and routing issues.
- Support DataPower integrations and service communication troubleshooting.
- Ensure successful processing across distributed application environments.

Database & Backend Support
- Analyze Oracle SQL queries and stored procedures.




- Support SQL Server databases and workflow metadata repositories.
- Review DB2 and Mainframe integration points for transaction processing issues.
- Perform data validation, troubleshooting, and reconciliation activities.
- Execute SQL scripts and support data correction efforts when required.

Workflow & Imaging Support
- Support FileNet P8 workflow and enterprise content management solutions.
- Troubleshoot workflow exceptions and routing failures.
- Validate image creation, storage, and retrieval processes.
- Support EIS imaging services and document lifecycle management.
- Ensure successful work order creation and image association across business workflows.

Server & Infrastructure Support
- Support Linux and Windows server environments.
- Analyze application logs, operating system logs, and middleware logs.
- Monitor application performance and availability.
- Support deployment activities and environment maintenance.
- Coordinate with infrastructure, database, and network teams for issue resolution.

End-to-End Business Process Support Serve as a subject matter expert for prescription intake and fulfillment workflows by tracing transactions across:

Responsibilities include:
- Determining where a prescription is currently located within the processing workflow.
- Identifying which application last updated or processed the transaction.
- Verifying IBM MQ message movement and successful downstream delivery.
- Confirming work order creation and associated image generation.
- Validating image delivery into EIS/FileNet repositories.




- Ensuring workflow completion and successful handoff to TMW for fulfillment.
- Collaborating with business and development teams to resolve processing failures.

Required Qualifications

- Strong troubleshooting experience within WebSphere and Java middleware environments.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle SQL, stored procedures, and database analysis.
- Experience supporting IBM MQ messaging infrastructure.
- Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with workflow platforms and FileNet P8.
- Understanding of enterprise integration architecture and distributed systems.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM), Healthcare, or Prescription Processing environments.
- Knowledge of NRx/Mainframe processing.
- Familiarity with DataPower services and API integrations.
- Exposure to DevOps and application monitoring tools.
- Experience supporting high-volume, mission-critical transaction systems.
- ITIL Foundation Certification or equivalent operational support experience.
