Role Snapshot

Position Summary As a Packaging Designer, you'll play a key role in developing eye-catching and impactful packaging for pet products, reflecting brand identity, and supporting marketing goals. You will work closely with cross-functional teams (marketing, product development, and manufacturing) to lead the packaging design process from concept to final production. Whether creating private-label or licensed designs, you will bring creative ideas to life through packaging that stands out and resonates with pet lovers.

Nice-to-Have Experience

Experience with packaging and licensed products is valued. AI experience both for photo retouching and automation processes is considered a plus for this role.

Responsibilities

- Develop innovative packaging concepts for a wide range of pet products, including toys, grooming supplies,



and accessories, across both private-label and licensed categories.
- Create persuasive and concise product copy that highlights key features and benefits.
- Prepare visual assets, mockups, and presentations for internal and client reviews.
- Ensure packaging designs follow brand guidelines and maintain consistency across product lines.
- Manage and maintain packaging specs, dielines, layouts, and version control.
- Collaborate closely with printers, vendors, and manufacturing partners to deliver production-ready artwork with the highest quality standards.
- Review and approve proofs and prototypes to ensure accuracy and seamless transition to final production.
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor packaging, and consumer behavior within the pet industry.

Requirements (Must-Have)

- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Arts, or related field.
- 3+ years of experience as a Packaging Designer, with a portfolio showcasing packaging for private-label and/or licensed products (pet industry experience is a plus).
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- AI experience is preferred but not required.
- Strong expertise in visual communication, branding systems, color theory, typography, and print production.




- Solid experience developing dielines, understanding materials, sizing, and structural layout.
- Excellent copywriting skills for short-form packaging content.
- Experience collaborating with marketing, product development, and manufacturing teams.
- Professional-level English communication (written and spoken).
- Experience working with B2B clients, startups, or American companies is strongly valued.
- Hands-on experience with licensed products and working within strict brand guidelines.
- Packaging development experience for the U.S. market.
- Experience in B2B or startup environments.
- Exposure to diecuts, structural packaging variations, and optimizing dielines for production.
- Experience with process automation and an interest in exploring AI-integrated workflows is a plus

Technical Skills (Required)

- Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
- Packaging design principles and best practices
- Dieline creation and modification
- Print production (offset & digital)
- Color theory and typography
- Knowledge of materials, coating options, and packaging structures
- Ability to prepare production-ready files
- Familiarity with packaging mockup or 3D rendering tools (e.g., Esko Studio, Adobe Dimension) is a plus

Tools & Systems

- Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, AI, and sketching techniques.
- Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive)
