- Serve as the primary communication link between customers and internal departments, ensuring customer requirements, order status, schedule changes, pricing changes, and concerns are communicated accurately and promptly.
- Obtain customer purchase orders, enter and maintain sales orders and purchase order details in the ERP system, and prepare and forward order confirmations to customers.
- Coordinate with Production Control regarding order status, scheduling updates, delivery requirements, material availability, and other issues that may impact customer commitments.
- Ensure customer-supplied materials, components, documentation, specifications, and other required items are received as needed to support production.
- When technical inquiries arise, coordinate with Engineering, Quality, Production, Tooling, Program Management, and other technical personnel to provide timely and accurate responses to customers.
- Source and qualify vendors for thermoplastic resins, engineered polymers, colorants, additives, inserts, fasteners, packaging, purchased components,



and other materials required for injection molding production.
- Develop and maintain a competitive supplier base by identifying new vendors, alternate sources, and second-source options to reduce cost and supply-chain risk.
- Prepare and issue RFQs, analyze supplier quotations, compare total landed cost, and make sourcing recommendations based on price, quality, lead time, capacity, service, and technical capability.
- Negotiate material and component pricing, payment terms, freight terms, minimum order quantities, lead times, tooling or setup charges, annual agreements, stocking agreements, and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Lead cost-reduction initiatives and support annual price negotiations, supplier consolidation, and value-analysis opportunities while maintaining required quality and performance standards.
