Location: On site – Juarez, Actual Leon

BASIC FUNCTION

Provides professional nursing care to associates as individual situations arise, in accordance with Mexican law. Educates associates on health promotion and maintenance. Assists physicians with necessary procedures. Coordinates effectively with other shifts to ensure continuity of care, maintains positive relationships with other departments, and participates in all phases of education, record-keeping, and the updating of policies and procedures.

Specific Responsibilities

- Meets medical service objectives applicable to the position.

- Administers professional nursing care to associates based on individual situations and in compliance with Mexican regulations. Maintains a record of all activities.

- Provides an appropriate emergency response to injuries occurring within the facility.

- Provides health education to associates through periodic coverage of health topics.

- Skillfully and correctly administers medications prescribed by physicians.

- Keeps the Supervisor informed regarding patients, needs, and issues within the medical service.

- Participates in staff orientation, training, and management for new employees; provides training for emergency medical technicians, Basic Life Support classes, and optimal health care advice.

- Maintains an inventory of medications and supplies; sterilizes equipment and supplies as needed.

- Offers care-related guidance, identifies problems, and directs staff toward solutions.

- Evaluates the work environment to identify potential or actual health issues.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION: Registered Nurse with a current license to practice nursing in Mexico.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years of experience in occupational health.

TRAINING: Knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based software applications preferred.
