Johanson Technology Inc. (JTI) is looking for a Process Engineer III for our Front-End Manufacturing facility in Tijuana, MX.
The role will investigate root causes of failures and defects, develop process controls and monitor critical process parameters. The engineer must have good analysis skills and will drive the process to increase yields, throughput and reduce cost in the areas of milling, tape casting, thick film printing, lamination and cutting.
JTI has over thirty years' experience specializing in the design, manufacture and sales of high-quality Power and RF ceramic chip capacitors, inductors, and Integrated Passive Components into the integral electronics market.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's of Science in Engineering (Ceramics and Materials, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to support medium to high volume manufacturing while making substantial improvements to Yield and Quality of new products and ramping from Pilot to volume manufacturing.
- At least three (3) years' experience in working in general manufacturing processes such as ceramics formulation, thick film printing, lamination, and cutting.
- Proficient of Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, Project, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Able to commute to the Facility (company transportation provided at the Border)
- Occasional travel to corporate office in Camarillo, CA
Preferred EDuCATION AND Experience Master of Science in Engineering (Ceramics, Materials, Chemistry, or Physics, etc.)
ESSENTIAL FUCTIONS, including but not limited to: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
- Basic knowledge / familiarity with Dispersion Milling, Tape Casting, Thick film pastes, Screen Printing, Lamination, Cutting and Casting.
- Identify component parts of processes and equipment.
- Recognize factors involved in process performance.
- Perform in-process experiments (hands on) including operation of equipment.
- Create and execute a Design of Experiment (DOE) and report experimental results.
- Author specifications and procedures.
- Set up process controls, train personnel in their use.
- Lead projects to introduce new technology to improve process performance and reduce costs.
- Maintain work area clean and organized. When using production areas clean up after use and reset equipment such as machines to original setup for production use.
