Company Description Lunazul Surf School & Shop was founded in 2002, beginning as a small surf shop selling clothing and renting boards to local riders and visitors. Role Description The Social Media Content Creator is a full-time, on-site role based in Sayulita, NAY. This role is responsible for planning, creating, and publishing engaging content across social media platforms to showcase Lunazul’s surf lessons, shop offerings, and community events. Day-to-day tasks include capturing photos and videos on the beach and in the shop, writing captions and short-form stories, managing posting schedules, and responding to comments and messages in a timely, professional manner.

Creator will collaborate closely with instructors, retail staff, and management to highlight promotions, special classes, and surf conditions, while maintaining a consistent brand voice and visual style.



The role also involves tracking basic performance metrics, suggesting new content ideas, and supporting occasional in-person marketing activities and events.

Qualifications

- Ability to create and publish social media content, including photography, short videos, and engaging captions across platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
- Skills in basic content planning and scheduling, including maintaining a posting calendar and aligning content with promotions, events, and brand messaging.
- Comfort interacting with followers and guests online, including community management, responding to comments and messages, and representing the brand in a friendly, professional manner.
- Basic familiarity with social media analytics and insights to monitor engagement and make simple recommendations for improvement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Interest in surfing, beach culture, or outdoor sports, and willingness to spend time on-site capturing content in dynamic environments.
- Ability to work on-site in Sayulita, NAY, collaborate with a small team, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced, customer-facing setting.
- Previous experience in social media, digital content creation, or marketing is preferred but not required; portfolio or examples of prior work are highly beneficial.
