Software Engineer:: .NET C# in Guadalajara MX / Hybrid
Guadalajara MX / Hybrid
Long Term contract
Responsibilities
Build & Deliver Integrations
● Build integration features, RESTful APIs, and shared libraries against defined contracts and patterns, contributing to the event-driven and asynchronous flows the team builds
● Contribute directly to integration logic in the existing product code, including the monolithic application, to help clear the current backlog
● Move between modern .NET services and older .NET Framework code, debug across service boundaries, and help diagnose failures in integration flows
● Follow established API standards for versioning, contracts, and deprecation
● Take a well-scoped design or task and drive it to a working, deployed result with guidance from senior engineers
Own Your Work
● Fully test your own work before it moves forward; write unit and integration tests and contribute to acceptance and end-to-end coverage for what you build
● Own your work through every stage of the SDLC to Production, and fix Production issues that arise from it
● Meet the team's quality and coverage bar before code goes to review
● If you build it, it is your responsibility to make sure it works correctly
Use AI Across the SDLC
● Use modern AI coding harnesses daily, such as Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, or Pi, with a working understanding of what an agent is: a model paired with a harness
● Apply these tools across the SDLC, from writing and reviewing code to generating tests
Work Within the Team
● Take day-to-day direction from the Platform Integrations manager, senior engineers, and architects, and build to the contracts, patterns, and review standards that support the team's architectural direction
● Participate in code review, both submitting your work and giving feedback on peers' integration code
● Flag integration risks, blockers,
and design gaps early rather than working around them silently
● Document the work you deliver for long-term knowledge preservation
● Maintain a working-hours overlap with US Central Time sufficient for daily standups, code review, and real-time collaboration
Qualifications: Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required
● 3+ years of professional software engineering experience building production systems
● Proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem, including exposure to .NET Framework codebases
● Experience building or contributing to production APIs and integration features
● Experience working in large, established codebases
● Daily hands-on use of modern AI coding harnesses (Claude Code, Codex, OpenCode, Pi, or similar), with a working understanding of what an agent is (model plus harness)
● Experience writing unit and integration tests, including using AI to help build them
● Willingness to own your work through the SDLC to Production and fix issues that arise from it
● Ability to work against a defined design and well-scoped tasks with guidance from senior engineers
Preferred
● Experience deploying and operating workloads on Azure
● Experience with event-driven architectures or enterprise messaging patterns
● Working command of distributed systems fundamentals across scaling, data storage, and correctness under failure
● Experience writing acceptance and end-to-end tests; experience with Playwright is desired
● Deeper understanding of harness mechanics, including memory, tool calls, and hooks, and how they shape agent behavior
● Experience with VB.NET
● Experience with API gateway technologies and API lifecycle management, including versioning and contracts
● Familiarity with event streaming platforms and asynchronous processing patterns
● Prior work in a fintech or financial services environment
● Experience integrating with third-party or external partner systems
