Key Responsibilities Quality Management & Compliance - Lead the development, implementation, and maintenance of quality systems and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with customer requirements, regulatory standards, and quality management systems such as ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.
- Create and maintain quality documentation, including PFMEAs, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, SPC plans, and work instructions.
- Conduct internal, process, product, and supplier audits.
Problem
Solving & Corrective Actions - Lead complex root cause investigations using 8D, 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, Fault Tree Analysis, and statistical methods.
- Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to closure and verify effectiveness.
- Analyze quality trends, warranty claims, customer complaints, and manufacturing defects to identify systemic issues.
Customer
Quality - Act as the primary quality contact for customers regarding quality concerns and corrective actions.
- Lead customer complaint investigations and response activities.
- Participate in customer audits, reviews, and business meetings.
- Ensure timely completion of customer-required quality documentation and reporting. Manufacturing & Process Improvement - Monitor process capability and product performance using SPC and other statistical tools.
- Lead continuous improvement projects focused on reducing defects, waste, and cost of poor quality.
- Support new product launches by leading APQP, PPAP, validation, and process qualification activities.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and operations teams to improve process performance.
Supplier
Quality - Support supplier qualification, development, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Lead investigations of supplier quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Review supplier PPAP submissions and quality documentation. Leadership & Mentoring - Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians.
- Lead cross-functional teams in quality improvement initiatives.
- Develop and track quality KPIs and present performance metrics to management.
- Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, or a related field.
- 5-8+ years of quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies.
- Experience with customer and supplier quality management.
- Proficiency in statistical analysis and data-driven decision making.
- Strong project management and leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications - ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
- Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
- Certified Lead Auditor (ISO 9001/IATF 16949).
- Experience in automotive, aerospace, electronics, medical device, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Experience with Minitab, Power BI, SAP, IQMS, or quality management software.
