requirements:

- 4+ years of experience in site reliability engineering, systems administration, or mainframe operations.
- strong experience with mainframe technologies such as cics, ims, db2, datacom, vsam, racf, jes2/jes3, smf, wlm, and z/osmf.
- experience developing automation solutions using python, go, rexx, assembler, clist, or similar technologies.
- solid understanding of sre concepts such as slis, slos, error budgets, incident management, root cause analysis, and toil reduction.




- experience working in hybrid mainframe and cloud environments.
- strong understanding of distributed systems, networking, databases, high availability, disaster recovery, capacity planning, and performance optimization.

key responsibilities:

- own the reliability, availability, and performance of integrated oci and ibm mainframe environments.
- define and maintain slis, slos, and error budgets.
- automate operational tasks and reduce manual effort.
- participate in incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and postmortems.
- administer z/os environments and support critical mainframe services.
- provide support for ca-adecuado and cobol-based applications.
- optimize batch processing, scheduling, and performance.
- troubleshoot integrations between mainframe and cloud services.
- support disaster recovery and high-availability initiatives.
- promote a culture of reliability, automation, and continuous improvement.
