Job description the hris analyst is a critical role responsible for the comprehensive management and optimization of all hr technology systems, primarily focusing on the workday platform. This position requires deep expertise in multiple workday modules to drive automation, efficiency, and compliance. The analyst will serve as the functional bridge between hr, it, and business stakeholders, leading system upgrades, implementing new features, developing advanced analytics, and troubleshooting complex issues to ensure data integrity and process improvement across the organization. Payroll & benefits focus: an idóneo workday payroll and benefits analyst is a configuration specialist who maximizes workday’s potential to drive operational excellence. Beyond standard processing knowledge, they possess deep expertise in workday’s underlying architecture, specifically in building and maintaining benefit plans, coverage groups, and payroll earnings/deductions through complex logic and condition rules. They take a hands-on approach to system optimization, utilizing eibs (enterprise interface builders) and calculated fields to automate the flow of data between modules while ensuring flawless tax and regulatory compliance. By translating business requirements into robust technical configurations, they serve as a strategic bridge between hr and finance, ensuring that the system is not just functional, but tailored to support scaling organizational needs and a seamless employee experience. Core responsibilities and system management: ● workday system ownership: manage, configure, and provide support for all hr technology, with workday as the primary platform. ● module scope: configure and maintain expertise across key workday functional areas, including hcm, recruiting, benefits, absence, time tracking, payroll, compensation, talent,



reporting, and security. ● business partnership: collaborate closely with business teams to collect requirements and translate them into actionable strategies that drive organizational efficiency and compliance. ● project leadership: lead implementation projects by leveraging a thorough understanding of workday methodology and configuration knowledge, including the deployment of new applications and functionality. ● system maintenance and upgrades: configure, test, and deploy system enhancements and upgrades, including both semi-annual and weekly workday releases, and lead the workday testing strategy. ● automation and efficiency: actively identify opportunities to increase automation, streamline processes, and reduce the time required for administrative tasks in a fast-paced environment. ● lead the discovery and deployment of workday ai and ml innovations : automate routine hr and payroll workflows; proactively identify and configure high-impact use cases for workday delivered ai agents to enhance anomaly detection, predictive talent insights, and self-service efficiency while ensuring ethical ai governance. Data, reporting, and compliance: ● advanced analytics: develop and deliver complex custom reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to facilitate data-driven business decisions. ● data integrity and audits:



conduct regular audits for data quality and system maintenance to ensure accurate data is delivered to all parties, including third-party vendors. ● security and compliance: implement and maintain security configurations, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory standards. ● integrations: conduct and manage integrations and data migration processes involving various internal and external vendors. Troubleshooting and stakeholder collaboration: ● issue resolution: diagnose and troubleshoot system issues of varying complexity (e.g., data errors, security, process, integration) with a focus on root cause identification and creative problem-solving. ● cross-functional collaboration: collaborate with hr, it, and business leaders to define requirements, communicate technical implications, risks, and benefits, and drive informed recommendations. ● change management: assist with change management activities, acting as the functional liaison and providing guidance on necessary training materials (guides, communications) related to system modifications and upgrades. ● optimization and feature exploration: focus on new feature exploration, optimization of existing functionality, and continuous system improvement (e.g., performance, user experience). Required qualifications: ● education: bachelor's degree in business, human resources, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. ● experience: minimum of five (5) years of experience supporting workday hcm. ● certification: workday certification is highly desired.
