Job Overview

Implements manufacturing techniques, processes, tools, and machinery to maximize throughput; performs research on products and manufacturing processes and shares the same with senior engineers.

What Your Background Should Look Like

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related technical field
8+ years of experience in electroplating or surface finishing operations
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in relevant field is a plus

Technical Skills

Deep understanding of electrochemical principles and plating chemistry
Experience with wastewater treatment technologies (chemical precipitation, ion exchange, membrane processes)
Proficiency in process simulation software and statistical analysis tools
Knowledge of environmental regulations and permit requirements
Experience with automated plating systems and process control





Leadership & Communication

Proven ability to lead technical teams and cross-functional projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience in project management and budget development

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with ISO 14001 environmental management systems
Knowledge of Six Sigma or lean manufacturing methodologies
Familiarity with RCRA and TSCA regulations

Job Requirements

Equipment Selection & Engineering

Evaluate, specify, and select electroplating equipment including rectifiers, filtration systems, plating tanks, and automation components
Conduct feasibility studies for new plating technologies and equipment upgrades
Collaborate with vendors to define technical specifications and performance requirements
Lead equipment installation, commissioning, and validation activities
Develop equipment maintenance programs
