As an Engineer II, Electromechanical Design, you will develop and optimize electromechanical products, subsystems, and platforms for low-voltage electrical distribution equipment. You will apply mechanical and electrical engineering principles to design innovative, reliable, and manufacturable solutions that meet customer needs, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
You will contribute to the design and development of Power Panelboards, Panelboards, Switchboards, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), busbar systems, enclosures, and related power distribution equipment, supporting the complete product lifecycle from concept development through industrialization and product release.
This role requires a strong understanding of low-voltage power distribution systems, current-carrying components, electrical protection, power conversion, motor control applications, electrical safety, and regulatory compliance. You will leverage simulation, analysis, prototyping, testing, and validation tools to improve product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and competitiveness.
What will you do?
Product Design & Development
Develop electromechanical designs for low-voltage electrical distribution products, platforms, features, options, and subsystems.
Translate customer, technical, regulatory, and business requirements into robust engineering solutions.
Participate in concept development, feasibility analysis, prototyping, design validation, industrialization, and product release activities.
Develop scalable and standardized architectures supporting multiple product families and market segments.
Electrical Power Distribution Design
Design and optimize low-voltage electrical distribution equipment including:
Power Panelboards
Panelboards
Switchboards
Motor Control Centers (MCCs)
Distribution Boards
Industrial Control Panels
Design and optimize current-carrying systems including busbars, conductors, terminations, grounding systems, and electrical interconnections.
