About The Role

In this role, you will own the full-stack development of an AI-powered student tutor and learning coach integrated with Canvas for medical education. You will deliver scalable backend services and responsive in-Canvas experiences while collaborating with AI/ML engineering, QA, product, and client stakeholders to enable successful university pilots.

Responsibilities

Design and maintain Python backend services that enable reliable tutor orchestration, content-generation workflows, Canvas/LTI integration, and data ingestion.
Build responsive Next.js and React experiences with product, AI/ML, and QA teams to improve student access across mobile, tablet, and desktop.
Deliver end-to-end features with client stakeholders to accelerate pilot outcomes through aligned API contracts, state management, streaming behavior, and configuration.
Ensure application performance, accessibility compliance with WCAG 2.1 AA, and security across backend and frontend components.
Communicate technical progress, trade-offs, and defect resolution directly with the client during working sessions,



sprint reviews, and UAT.
Triage and resolve client-reported defects quickly to reduce disruption during active pilot and Hypercare periods.
Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, reviews, retrospectives, and code reviews to maintain delivery quality and alignment.

Requirements

Strong knowledge of Python backend and API development using FastAPI or a comparable framework.
Advanced experience with Next.js and React for modern frontend application development.
Proven ability to own full-stack features from API design through user interface implementation.
Strong knowledge of agentic coding practices and their application within software development.
Advanced experience with cloud-native deployment, containerized services, and CI/CD pipelines.
Strong knowledge of LLM and AI-agent integration, including prompt-driven orchestration and RAG, as a plus.
