Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and medical coder to join our healthcare team. This role primarily involves physician billing coding, ensuring accurate and compliant documentation of medical procedures and diagnoses. The Coder plays a vital part in the revenue cycle, supporting efficient billing processes and maintaining high standards of coding accuracy. Responsibilities
Perform physician billing coding by reviewing medical records, documentation, and reports to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
Ensure all coding complies with current industry standards, regulations, and payer requirements.
Collaborate with healthcare providers and billing teams to clarify documentation as needed for accurate coding.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of coding guidelines, insurance policies, and healthcare regulations.




Review and audit coded claims for accuracy before submission to minimize denials or delays.
Support the billing process by providing precise codes that facilitate timely reimbursement.
Keep detailed records of coding activities and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
Assist in resolving any coding-related issues that may arise during the billing cycle.
Requirements
Proven experience in physician billing coding or similar healthcare coding roles.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare documentation standards.
Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and billing software.
Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills to ensure coding accuracy.
Ability to interpret complex medical documentation and translate it into correct codes.
